Iris Gilbert-Curtis is the Community Manager for McLean Gardens Condominium Association and has been onboard since 2018. McLean Gardens is a community with thirty-one unique buildings and seven hundred condominium units nestled between the shops on Wisconsin Avenue, NW, and Rock Creek Park in DC. Prior to us, Iris spent sixteen years in HOA and rental management, and eight years in condominium and cooperative housing management, and is a military veteran.

Iris has an easygoing personality and uses a fair no-nonsense approach in life and in the work environment. Research, preparation and follow-up are her key concepts for essential management of the property. Iris’s administrative assistant Soncie says, “More often than not, she serves as a friend, therapist, and confidant to both residents and staff alike, but does not hesitate to stand firm in her decision making. However, while she often wears a smile, she does not tolerate foolhardiness and it is in everyone’s best interest to research any task she assigns, as she has a knack for asking the one common-sense question that you may not be prepared to answer. Among all of Iris’s admirable qualities is her ability to use humor in the face of serious issues while maintaining professionalism, and that is something that we all aspire to emulate.”

Iris has a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems and Business Management; and she has been an avid reader since the age of ten and still enjoys reading a “good book” during her downtime.
